About Decathlon-Decathlon a French company owned by the Oxylane group which is now considered the worlds largest manufacturer and retailer of sporting equipment. We own and operate over 400 sports warehouses (large format, above 4000 sq meters each) mainly in Europe, Russia and Brazil. Our catalog of 8000 products is marketed through 13 different passion brands each of which caters to a specific segment. Decathlon India-In India we are only operating a cash and carry warehouse and B2B format. We are about to open our first Indian warehouse at Bangalore in April, 2009. We aim to have 600-1000 products in India by the end of the year covering camping and adventure gear, cycling, golf, running, football and horse riding.
